Reliance communication a year back back launched a Whatsapp plan just
in Rs. 16 and recently also launched a WhatsApp and Facebook plan in Rs.
42. These plan provide free access to customers for WhatsApp (Rs. 16)
and both for WhatsApp & Facebook (Rs. 42) respectively. You can
enjoy unlimited WhatsApp and Facebook with their respective apps but
using Internet Data for other links is chargeable. But many Reliance
users are facing problem with these packs and complaining about Balance
deduction in Reliance WhatsApp and Facebook plan. Today our post will
give you the possible solution of this problem.
Balance deduction in Reliance WhatsApp plan of Rs. 16
With the activation of Rs. 16 WhatsApp plan a reliance user can have
unlimited access to WhatsApp without any Data charges. If you are still
getting charged that may be due to following reasons.
Plan may not be active.
You have to active this plan by a procedure {explained here} after which you receive a confirmation message. If you have not received message your plan is not active.
You are using wrong APN
If you have successfully activated the plan and still getting the
balance deducted then check your Access point name under network
settings. The Access point name or APN must be either ‘netconnect’ or
‘rcomnet’ . If it is not that we recommend you to change it manually and
we advise you to change it to ‘rcomnet’ .
You are clicking other links
With WhatsApp plan you can only use the WhatsApp application for
free. If you receive any link in your whatsapp and you are opening it
then you will be charged for it. Do note that using WhatsApp is free
but if you downloading WhatsApp application from internet is not free.
Other Apps are Using Internet Data
This is the most common problem which cause balance deduction. 90 %
of WhatsApp users are using it through Smartphones. Smartphone have a
tendency to run Background apps. Many Background apps like We Chat,
Line, E-Mail etc. run continuously in background and use internet data.
You should disable all those apps which run in background and use
Internet Data.
