Airtel hiked its 2G and Rate cutter STV’s in few circles

Airtel is the leading telecom operator in India. This private sector company is know for its customer support and unbelievable network coverage. This is also considered that Airtel is a trend setter in Telecom industry. Though there is no monopoly but it can be seen that Airtel easily influence price of various telecom services in Market. Recently Airtel hiked its 2G and Rate cutter after which many other companies are showing similar signs.

Airtel a few days back hiked its Special tariff vouchers which were providing 2G and Rate cutter services. This hike is applicable for a few circles including Delhi NCR circle. A 2G data plan of 125 which was providing 525 MB internet data for 28 Days will now provide the same amount of data with same rate but only for 21 Days. Apart from this change in Data STV, STD rate cutter STV of Rs. 38 is also revised. Previously where with the recharge of Rs. 38 a customer was getting STD calls @40p/min but now for the same benefits customer will have to  have Rs. 48. In the recharge of Rs. 38 customers will be given benefit of STD call rate of 45p/min for 28 days. Though Airtel is no where cheapest in its recharges but still customers of Airtel are increasing Day by day. Their quality service is the main reason for this. A few days back Airtel announced reduction in its 3G data services and made 1GB for Rs. 149 but in  few hours the rollback their this service with no justification. Now by raising the 2G data STV they are somewhere indicating that there gonna be no deduction in internet plans in near future.

 

Now the point to notice is the steps of Vodafone and Idea cellular. Both these companies are the biggest rival to Airtel and it is found that they also do changes in their STV’s whenever Airtel initiate the process.
